Jelly Roll’s weight loss journey has been full of ups and downs, and he’s sharing it all with fans.

The “Need a Favor” singer noted in a recent YouTube vlog that he’d experienced a major setback in recent months and was “afraid” to step back on the scale, admitting, “I have, to some degree, lost my way.”

Reflecting on starting his health journey a few years ago, from when he was 540 pounds to landing himself on the cover of Men’s Health at 265 pounds earlier this year, he said, “We hit the goal and it was right before the holidays.”

“So I was like, ‘You know what, man? I’ve been working hard for the last three years losing this weight.’ Said, ‘I’m going to enjoy the holidays,’” he recalled.

The country star added, “I had a big Thanksgiving meal and I had a big birthday meal and I ate a big Christmas meal. Kinda got off the rails and I broke my collarbone about a week before Christmas, a few days before Christmas.”

Jelly Roll said that resulted in him having to “quit running, quit walking, quit exercising for, you know, an extended period of time.”

When it came time for the “Son of a Sinner” singer to weigh in, he admitted that he was “scared to, y’all.”

“I feel really fat, I feel really bloated, I feel like the scale’s gonna let me down. I feel like I’m gonna find out I’ve gained like 15 pounds over the f–king last six months,” he said. “I’m scared, but at least we’re here together.”

He added, “Avoiding weighing in has been the problem.”

The scale then showed he’d gained 12 pounds, weighing in at just over 276 pounds.

Elsewhere in the video, Jelly Roll said his Men’s Health cover “was not the goal” and that he’s still anywhere between 40 to 60 pounds away from his ideal “maintenance weight.”

Plus, he has a few new goals: training for the New York City Marathon this fall and being on the cover “of something crazy like GQ or Rolling Stone or Vanity Fair or Forbes or Time with my shirt off.”

“I know it’s getting real silly now, but I don’t know,” he said. “I just believe there’s a story that a guy can go from 560 pounds to a shirt-off picture. It’s absurd.”

Jelly Roll has shared in the past that his sex life with wife Bunnie Xo was “horrible” before beginning his weight loss journey, with him telling Men’s Health he had the testosterone level of a “preteen boy.”

“I was married to a smoke show, and I was still struggling,” he said, revealing that in addition to losing weight he’d also turned to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), something he’ll be on “probably for the rest of my life.”

“Now it’s a totally different thing. I’m chasing her around the house, you know what I’m saying?” he said. “I’m like a teenage kid again!”
