Jaime King secretly married Austin Sosa one month after losing custody of her kids — and then lied about it.
According to Sosa’s Jan. 22 divorce petition, which Page Six exclusively obtained on Friday, the former couple quietly tied the knot on April 23, 2025.
The investment banker, 34, claimed they separated on Nov. 11, 2025, and listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.
“I was completely blindsided by the divorce filing, which came out of nowhere,” King, 46, told Page Six on Jan. 23, claiming she was with Sosa “the night before” he went to court.
While the actress acknowledged that they experienced “normal challenges” in their short-lived marriage, she “genuinely believed [they] were working on [their] relationship.”
She went on to deny that her handful of cozy outings with famed hotelier Vikram Chatwal in late December/early January had anything to do with the breakup.
“Any recent interactions being referenced publicly were strictly professional business meetings and have no connection to this private matter,” she insisted.
The “Sin City” star never publicly said that she and Sosa were married and kept details about their relationship private.
In fact, in July 2025, she was photographed wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring, after which her reps told us, “Jaime is embracing a joyful new chapter with her engagement to Austin Sosa and is grateful for the kind messages of support.
“She’s especially happy to share this moment with her children, who have a loving bond with Austin and his family. As always, her sons remain her top priority, and she kindly asks for privacy as they move forward together with love and gratitude.”
Meanwhile, a source elaborated to People, “She is very close with [Sosa’s] family and was staying with his parents after she moved out of her Los Angeles apartment earlier this year.”
Then during an October 2025 appearance on the “Juicy Scoop” podcast, host Heather McDonald noted that her guest, King, was “recently engaged” before asking how she and Sosa met.
“We met through mutual friends,” she replied, agreeing that it’s an “exciting” time in her life.
When McDonald asked King about her sons — James, 12, and Leo, 10 — she simply said they were “very busy.”
King filed for divorce from her first husband, Kyle Newman, in May 2020, leading to contentious proceedings. After she accused the filmmaker of abuse, he denied her allegations and claimed she was a “chronic drug addict and alcoholic.”
They settled their split in September 2023.
However, the following October, Newman, 49, accused King of being “strung out” and “drunk” while their kids were in her care.
Five months later — just one month before she wed Sosa — the “White Chicks” star lost physical custody of the boys after failing to complete a drug and alcohol rehab program; however, she was given supervised visitation rights.
Days later, the “devastated and embarrassed” mother of two was forced to move out of her LA rental home for owing thousands of dollars in back rent.
Reps for King and Sosa did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
