Hilary Duff is subtly reacting to shady comments about her tour wardrobe.

The actress and singer, 38, is currently embarking on her Lucky Me Tour in support of her sixth album, Luck… or Something, which was released in February, but not everyone has been blown away by her onstage sartorial choices.

A fan came to Duff’s defense via Instagram on Wednesday, July 1, sharing a video montage of Duff’s various outfit changes on tour in response to a TikTok comment that said the singer “obviously didn’t spend any money on her wardrobe. Wearing sweatpants?”

“Actually she’s a baddie that did 5 quick outfit changes during her performance,” the fan wrote over the video.

It took Hilary Duff a decade to release new music — and she had a clear reason for her return to the industry. “It was always going to happen. There’s no way that [music] was not going to be part of my story,” Duff, 38, said on the Wednesday, November 5, episode of the “Therapuss” […]

“The queen herself looked stunning in each outfit 🔥🤩😍 @hilaryduff you’re a baddie and I strive to look as good as you after 4 kids!” the fan captioned their video, which clearly got Duff’s attention, because she “liked” the post.

Earlier this year, the Lizzie McGuire alum released her first studio album in over a decade.

“I am often asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,” Duff said in a November 2025 press release announcing Luck… or Something. “The album title is my way of answering that question. It’s luck, but there’s also a lot of weight in the ‘ … or something.’ Many of the things I’ve been through along the way are held there, and I feel like ultimately that’s what’s shaped me.”

One of the songs on the album, “Mature,” is about a relationship Duff once had with an older man.

“It’s definitely about a relationship that I had. It was very brief with someone older than me, and that was not illegal, but inappropriate when you have this much time removed from it,” she told Glamour in February. “Everybody speculates, but I’m not sure they got it right. … I think that it’s super nuanced and it’s hard to defend certain things that have happened in my life. But the one thing that I’ll say is, working as an adult since I was 10 years old, it’s very hard to have relationships with people your own age.”

Duff began her Lucky Me Tour in West Palm Beach, Florida, on June 21. She is set to perform across the U.S., U.K., Australia and Canada before wrapping up the tour in Mexico City in February 2027. The set includes songs from her new album as well as hits such as “So Yesterday,” “Come Clean” and “Wake Up.”
