Since news broke of Katie Price’s shock fourth marriage to Dubai-based entrepreneur Lee Andrews, her inboxes have been brimming with new messages.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given what has emerged about her husband since, they are not words of congratulations.

Instead, they are heartfelt pleas from his numerous ex-girlfriends, urging Katie to dump him, and regaling her with their own stories about the man who apparently whisked the former glamour model off her feet after meeting her online.

And as I can now reveal, it seems to be working.

Troubled Katie is starting to believe she may have made a mistake by exchanging vows with Andrews, 41, a week ago at the One and Only Royal Mirage, a hotel on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah Island.

Friends of Katie’s wider family tell me that she is ‘beginning to be convinced’ that Andrews might not be the man she thought he was.

But it might still be an uphill struggle, they fear, to get her to admit that to her nearest and dearest.

As one source told me: ‘Katie has been inundated with direct messages from her new husband’s former girlfriends warning her what he is really like – and pleading with her to dump him.

‘He is not a nice man. These women have been doing everything they can to make her see sense. They have no ulterior motive other than to try and stop her going through what they went through. At first, she ignored them and wrote them off as being bitter and jealous.

‘But now she is actually starting to believe the women because they have so much information and details documenting what he did to them. And even though she’s starting to suspect that she’s made a huge mistake by marrying a man she didn’t even know, she’s not admitting it to those closest to her.

‘She is very, very stubborn like that.’

Katie shocked her millions of fans – and her family – eight days ago when she posted photographs of her romantic proposal to Instagram.

Posing with a glass of champagne at Dubai’s luxurious Burj Al Arab hotel, beside a private hot tub and wearing a huge diamond ring, she revealed the flower-strewn floor, which featured petals spelling out the words ‘Will you marry me?’.

At first glance, it looked like Katie had quickly found love again, just a fortnight after revealing she had split from her boyfriend of two years, Married At First Sight star JJ Slater.

On Andrews’ LinkedIn profile, he claimed to be a billionaire with a PhD from Cambridge who had A-list connections to Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk.

His social media pages are full of glossy images of him on private planes and showing off his sculpted torso.

But in fact, it has emerged that Andrews has been accused of taking money from his ex-girlfriends – and, most damagingly, of being a ‘Walter Mitty’ style fantasist.

Certainly most of his photographs online appear to be heavily edited, and some seem to be the work of AI.

Several days have now passed without Katie posting about him online. And his planned trip to London to meet her this weekend has yet to materialise.

Katie was expected to join him at a hotel in the capital on Friday, but Andrews delayed his flight out of Dubai on Thursday, saying he was searching for suitable properties for them to live in.

He then posted a picture of a plane on Friday, appearing to suggest he was preparing to reunite with his new bride.

‘Was all of this made up lies on his part?’ asks my source. ‘Has Katie finally seen sense? Let’s hope so.

‘It’s very telling that Katie was due to meet Lee in London. He was never coming to the family home because that is where the children are. At least she has enough sense to keep her new husband away from them.’

If Katie was disappointed by Andrews’ absence on Friday night, she did not show it. Instead she posted a picture of herself with her eldest son, Harvey, on Instagram captioned: ‘Curry night, chicken korma, extra cream and naan bread wooooo.’

And on Saturday, she posted a photograph of herself walking her cocker spaniel, Rookie.

Some suspect that Katie, 47, may have been duped by Andrews – just like his former flames.

Sources have told me she was ‘after attention’ because her ex-husband Peter Andre was releasing his first album for more than a decade.

Another factor contributing to her vulnerability – and saying ‘yes’ to Andrews – was, I’m told, because her long-term nemesis Victoria Beckham was heading for number one in the charts with her 2001 single Not Such An Innocent Girl in the wake of the family’s feud with their eldest son, Brooklyn.

The pair have a long and bitter history.

In 2000, Katie, who was dating footballer Dwight Yorke – Harvey’s father – was in the players’ lounge at Manchester United when she claims Victoria sang ‘who let the dogs out’ when she walked past.

At the time, Victoria was working with Katie’s ex-boyfriend Dane Bowers on her solo music career.

While it sounds ‘ridiculous’, sources say, marrying Andrews was about turning the spotlight away from Peter and Victoria, and back on herself.

A source tells me: ‘Katie was being pursued by Lee online. It’s what he does. He targets women online and because of everything that was happening last week with Pete and Victoria, Katie agreed to fly out and marry him.

‘It sounds absolutely ridiculous but she is someone who craves attention and the media spotlight, so what better way to achieve that than to get married again.’

Her erratic behaviour has left Katie’s family terrified. Her mum, Amy, and younger sister, Sophie, are attempting to stage an intervention and there were rumours that Katie would travel to her mother’s home on the Isle of Wight this weekend.

Amy and Sophie are petrified that ‘she is really, really struggling’ as they do not believe it is normal behaviour to fly to Dubai to marry a man you met on the internet.

They are adamant that Katie is being ‘used’ by Andrews and that he has struck ‘when she is at her lowest’.

It is, indeed, a very sad tale. But what makes it all the more heartbreaking is that, Harvey aside (who lives in a care home because of his additional needs), Katie has four other children who need caring for.

‘How can Katie just go off to Dubai and leave them?’ asked a source familiar with the family.

‘It just isn’t right.’

And then there are her older two, Junior, 20 and Princess, 18, from her marriage to Andre.

Reports suggested Junior was furious with his mother’s behaviour, but this is not true – Katie has been in touch with both Junior and Princess.

Friends say that they are ‘used to’ her behaviour, but they still worry about her a lot. They usually stay in touch via WhatsApp voice notes, as viewers saw on Princess’s ITV2 reality show The Princess Diaries.

A source said: ‘Junior is very protective of his mum. He would never say a bad word against her to anyone.

‘She is his mum and he loves her. Both he and Princess are used to her behaviour, it’s all they’ve ever known, and they will both always be there for their mum, no matter what.

‘They just want her to be safe, and keeping in contact with her is, in their own way, how they think they can do that.’

But given the events of the past few weeks, what happens next is anyone’s guess.
