What glitters is gold for Hailey Bieber.
The Rhode founder, 29, made a sparkling entrance at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion event at the Sydney Opera House on Friday in an archival Versace gown with a down-to-there plunging neckline.
The pale gold design featured bejeweled straps, an ornately embellished mesh center panel and lace-up detailing encircling the hips. Bieber wore her hair slicked back and accessorized with a simple pair of diamond drop earrings, keeping the attention on her glowing skin and showstopper of a dress.
The vintage find was sourced from archival dealer Raffe Vintage, while longtime stylist Dani Michelle, who also dresses Kendall Jenner and Daisy Edgar-Jones, put the look together.
“I feel like Australia just feels very chill and very relaxed,” she told Vogue Australia on the red carpet. “Everyone here is so nice.”
The model praised the country’s activewear brands and homegrown talent like designer Dion Lee — as well as her personal favorites, coffee and banana bread.
Earlier, she met with press to discuss Rhode’s Australian debut at beauty retailer Mecca, wearing head-to-toe Valentino: a grass green minidress adorned with bows, open-toe suede pumps ($1,100) and a DeVain Jacquard shoulder bag ($1,980).
The Versace moment was just one stop on Bieber’s fashion-packed Sydney itinerary. The night before, she attended the Australian premiere of “Wuthering Heights” in a sheer black Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello lace gown with bell sleeves and a floor-length skirt.
The look was a gothic nod to the Emerald Fennell film starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, which hits theaters today.
