This young girl with big dreams would grow up to become the lead singer in a Grammy-winning pop band.

She first gained recognition as a child actor in the ’80s, starring in the musical TV show, Kids Incorporated, before joining the girl group Wild Orchid at age 15.

The singer-songwriter would later be invited by will.i.am to be the backup singer for a an iconic rap-pop group — who recently canceled their Las Vegas residency over ‘current circumstances.’

As a soloist, she released one of the most successful albums of 2006 and 2007, and later left will.i.am’s music group in 2017 at the height of their popularity.

She is now an eight-time Grammy Award-winner worth a whopping $45million.

As for her personal life, the performer once had a fling with Justin Timberlake and shares a child with hunky Shotgun Wedding star Josh Duhamel.

This young girl is Stacy Ann Ferguson, who would grow up to become known as the superstar with the mononym Fergie. 

On Thursday, the musician shared the throwback photo, penning a letter to her younger self, in celebration of her milestone 50th birthday.

‘I honestly didn’t know what to post to mark this landmark number, so I started with a letter to my younger self,’ she began.

She wrote about learning to be proud of herself and to find ‘true happiness.’

‘Dear little Stacy, one day you’ll be 50 and you’ll be proud of yourself. You won’t have it all figured out, but you realize …. who does? Success really is in the journey, and true happiness can be found in the smallest simple moments. 

‘Keep loving deeply with all your heart, and keep working on yourself. It always all makes sense later. I love you. 

And even though she has not made music nor performed for nearly a decade, prioritizing motherhood at this point in her life, she acknowledged how she was honored by being recognized on Billboard’s list of Top Women Artists of the 21st Century.

‘I added the Billboard chart because I wanted to say THANK YOU. (thank u really tho;) It was a beautiful surprise and really made me feel like my music means something,’ she wrote.

As part of her triptych, she also included a portrait of her 11-year-old son posing for his soccer team from last year.

‘I also could not acknowledge this milestone without including my son Axl Jack, the sweetest love I’ve ever known,’ she gushed about her only child. ‘You make me want to be a better human every day.’

She shares Axl Jack Duhamel with her ex-husband, actor Josh Duhamel. 

Previously, Fergie was married to the All My Children star for nearly a decade after tying the knot in 2009, splitting up in 2017 and finalizing their divorce in 2019. 

‘Onward and upward,’ she concluded her post. 

As acknowledged in Billboard’s list, Fergie is one of the most influential artists of the century.

As part of the Black Eyed Peas, she released a number of smash hits — including but not limited to My Humps, Where Is the Love? and I Gotta Feeling — with rappers will.i.am., Taboo and apl.de.ap.

She also set the record for the most multi-platinum singles from one album in the digital era with her debut album The Dutchess. 

That famous record spawned the Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles Big Girls Don’t Cry, Glamorous, London Bridge and the top-five singles Clumsy and Fergalicious. 

She released her second studio album, Double Dutchess, in September 2017. 

After over 10 years with the band, she left to become a full-time mother to her kid and stepped away from Hollywood eight years ago.
