Ragini Khanna has been a part of many TV shows. She is known for his performance as Suhana in Sasural Genda Phool. She has also been a part of comedy shows like The Kapil Sharma Show. She has worked with Kapil a lot and we have seen her performances with the comedian. However, Ragini has been away from the entertainment industry now. She recently opened up about why she decided to leave The Kapil Sharma Show.
She spoke in a Podcast with Hindi Rush and said that there was nothing new left for her in the show. She was only seen as a hot girl in the show. One of her friends from the production had called her for a role in the show. She added that only hot girl roles are written for her in the show where women are asked to wear short and revealing clothes which are pleasing to the eye.
During the podcast, they also joked about how if the makers of that show didn’t find a hot girl, they would make Krushna Abhishek do that role. Ragini added that even Krushna Abhishek aka Sapna is a hot girl in the show. She was then asked if this has become normal to objectify women in such shows.
Ragini said, “If you don’t objectify the leading lady, then who will?” Looks like Ragini was clearly unhappy with always being asked to play the role of a hot girl.
Ragini had earlier said that she does not want to do daily soaps. She had once been a part of TV shows, reality shows but working for long hours took a toll on her health. She had said, “If you are the highest-rated show on television, then you have to go through the grind. It took a toll on my physical health as well as my mental health. It’s not that I was depressive; I was too tired. My meals were not on time. I suffered heavily from gastroenteritis.”
