Fat Tony has told of how he was cruelly trolled after sharing that his face was ‘smashed to pieces’ during a homophobic attack.
The DJ, 60, was knocked unconscious by Zack Bradley, 37, who called him a f****t’ before brutally punching twice in the DJ booth at a show in December 2024.
Recalling the incident on Wednesday, Fat Tony, real name Tony Marnoch, said sharing details of the night online was ‘one of his biggest mistakes.’
Speaking to Pete Wicks on his podcast Man Made, the producer said: ‘I started having a row with one of the DJs that was on after me, I shook his hand, but then his mate came up to me.
‘He called me a f****t and it escalated, I told me no hard feelings and then he suckerpunch me. I woke up in an ambulance, that’s how severe it was.
‘One of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made in my life was posting it online because the victim mode came back in.’

Tony continued: ‘You get the honest people who are like, “that’s terrible!” Then you get others who are like “oh you deserved it, you were rude to me in 1986.”‘
‘My face was smashed to pieces I had to go back into hospital, he broke my eye socket and my cheek bone. But mentally it’s scarred me more because I didn’t want to put myself in that arena.
‘Then I got sent the video and it had been passed around. It still affects me. I have to have security now, which sounds really a***holey.’
Tony previously told The Daily Mail: ‘His friend was homophobic, he called me a f****t, so I got into a row with him.
‘When I tried to leave he [Bradley] sucker punched me twice. The next thing I knew I woke up in an ambulance.’
Bradley was arrested in the days after the attack and charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH).
He added: ‘One side of my face is still affected. Sometimes the muscle in my eye goes a bit weak and makes the squint a bit. Sometimes I get headaches.’
The day after the attack Tony shared a video message on Instagram for his fans as he cancelled an upcoming gig due to his injuries.

The musician said: ‘I can’t really go into details but I was attacked last night at a gig, in the DJ box by another DJ funnily enough.
‘It resulted in me being knocked out and taken to hospital and being in A&E all night. Obviously you can see the damage to my face and the swelling – it’s not good.
‘I wanted to let you know I can’t be at my gigs today as I have been advised to stay at home and get well.
‘I’m absolutely gutted, I’m gutted this happened, I’m gutted that people choose violence especially when what we do comes from a place of love.
‘I’m really sorry that I won’t be seeing you tonight but we will reschedule everything. Big love guys – I’m just gutted really gutted.’
