DoorDash Doubles as Online Gifting Destination With Dedicated Mother’s Day Gifting Hub

From flowers and fragrance to champagne and gift cards, DoorDash has branched far beyond food delivery and takeout, bringing speed and convenience to special occasion gifting. Ahead of Sunday, May 10, the platform has unveiled its dedicated Mother’s Day hub, a one-stop shop for every kind of maternal figure, spanning prestige beauty, cozy apparel, practical tech, self-care kits, sweet treats and celebratory beverages.

Instead of searching across dozens of different sites, DoorDash’s shoppable gift guide is an amalgamation of both large and local retailers — from Ulta Beauty to neighborhood florists — with a curation of top present picks broken down by category. This includes same-day flower delivery and late-night product availability via DashMart.

Beyond physical gifts, DoorDash gives shoppers the option to purchase hundreds of gift cards (either digital or physical) through their platform, with special discounts for DashPass members.

DashPass, DoorDash’s monthly subscription service, has a host of exclusive benefits, and offers a 30-day free trial period for new members. While all eligible customers get their first DoorDash delivery order for free, members of DoorDash’s DashPass enjoy even more benefits: $0 delivery fees on every order, lower service fees on eligible orders, member-only promos and deals, five percent back in DoorDash credits on pickup orders and between five and 10 percent off Lyft rides (up to four per month). Following the 30-day free trial, a monthly DashPass plan is $9.99 per month and a yearly plan is $96 per year (which comes out to $8 per month).
