Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are seemingly the happiest separated couple in the world.

The duo, who first separated in 2017, still have no plans to get divorced, talk daily, and meet up for weekly meals with their children and grandchildren.

“We’re always over at her house,” the “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star told AARP in a recent interview. “We see the grandchildren together, that kind of stuff. So that’s a good relationship.”

DeVito, 81, met Perlman, 78, in 1971 in New York and moved in together two weeks later. They finally tied the knot in 1982 and share three children, Lucy, Grace, and Jacob.

The pair also collaborated on screen, including playing the title character’s parents in the 1996 film “Matilda,” which DeVito directed, and in the sitcom “Taxi.”

In October 2012, they separated after over four decades together but reconciled the following year. They separated for a second time in March 2017.

The couple remained close, however.

In 2019, they were spotted dining together at a restaurant in Chelsea and were so comfortable with one another that they happily flossed together at the table.

Perlman spoke about their split in 2019.

“Danny and I have always loved each other and we have three amazing children together and we really agree on almost everything important and so, you know, we were together for 40 years,” she said on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

“Forty years is a long time!” she added. “You might have to do something else! It’s OK!”

The “Cheers” alum explained that their relationship is “much better 1785375273 because all the tense stuff is gone.”

“It’s not in your face. I’m not in his face. He’s not in mine … there was a hard transition through the kids and everything, but everybody’s got a good relationship with Danny and with me and with each other, and that’s all we care about.”

She also reiterated that they have no plans to get divorced.

“That’s not in the picture … what for? We do live separately. We see each other a lot, too,” she explained.
