Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman are set to announce the 2026 Oscar nominations on Jan. 22.

The actors will reveal this year’s nominees in 24 categories, including the new casting award, in a live presentation from the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater, starting at 530 a.m. PT. The announcement will air live on ABC’s Good Morning America and stream on the Oscars‘ website, Film Academy’s digital platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok), Hulu, Disney+ and ABC News Live.

Oscar nominations voting began Monday, Jan. 12 and runs through Friday, Jan. 16.

Brooks was previously nominated for an Oscar for her role in The Color Purple. Pullman was part of the cast of the Oscar-winning Top Gun: Maverick and he currently appears alongside Amanda Seyfried in The Testament of Ann Lee, which has been nominated for numerous awards so far this season.

The 98th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien, are set to air live on ABC and Hulu from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 15, starting at 4 p.m. PT.

The Film Academy announced that O’Brien would be back to host his second Oscars roughly two weeks after he helmed the March 2, 2025 telecast. Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan are set to return as the Oscars executive producers for the third year in a row while Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney are set to return as producers, with Sweeney also serving as a writer.

The 2025 Oscars averaged 19.69 million viewers on ABC and Hulu, up slightly from the 2024 Oscars, with the ceremony reaching its largest audience in five years. The gains, including from the initially reported 18.07 million viewers, were attributable largely to viewing on digital devices like mobile phones and tablets that wasn’t captured in Nielsen’s fast national reporting.

Last year’s best picture went to Anora, just one of five awards won by the Sean Baker film, including best director (Baker) and best actress (Mikey Madison). Best actor went to Adrien Brody (The Brutalist), with Zoe Saldaña winning best supporting actress for Emilia Pérez and Kieran Culkin winning best supporting actor for A Real Pain.
