Carrie Coon had a pointed response to Meghan McCain criticizing her character’s actions on “The White Lotus.”

The actress, who played corporate lawyer and recent divorcée Laurie in Season 3 of the HBO series, gracefully clapped back in a new interview when asked whether she was “surprised” by “how invested” the former “The View” co-host was in her storyline.

“I hope Meghan enjoyed the finale. I’m glad she’s watching the show,” Coon told Variety on Monday.

The “Gilded Age” actress, 44, and McCain, 40, have been feuding over their political differences on social media and in the press in recent weeks.

In the show, Coon plays a Democrat who travels to Thailand with two of her longtime female friends — one of whom, played by Leslie Bibb, insinuated she voted for President Trump.

The Emmy nominee told the Hollywood Reporter last week that “people like Meghan McCain and her community are really gratified to see a conservative person on television.”

“I have conservative people in my life who reached out to me to say that was an awesome conversation, because I don’t think it vilifies [Bibb’s character] Kate,” she said of a scene in which the three women discussed their opposing views.

McCain, whose late father was Republican Sen. John McCain, later replied to the comments via X, writing, “Yes Carrie, I am ‘gratified’ that the conservative character represented on White Lotus is the responsible, family oriented one not making a fool of herself.

“Unlike the progressive liberal you’re representing who is sleeping with hotel staff and showing her tits to everyone,” Meghan added, referring to a scene in which Coon’s character flashes hotel staffers after getting inebriated.

The two previously butted heads in March when Coon criticized McCain’s support of Trump and his speech to Congress.

“Who’s gonna to tell her?” the TV star wrote via X over the former “Outnumbered” host’s post calling his speech “beautiful.”

Season 3 of “The White Lotus” concluded with a fiery finale Sunday.
