Carolyn Bessette was reportedly not a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow, whom she encountered while working for Calvin Klein in the ’90s.

“One of the publicists on the brand’s small team who Gwyneth was Carolyn Bessette,” author Amy Odell wrote in “Gwyneth: The Biography,” concerning the Calvin Klein fashion house.

“According to one person familiar with her thinking, Gwyneth irked her. When there were pictures of Gwyneth in the papers, Bessette, who viewed her as ‘little miss perfect,’ would make cutting remarks about her,” the author claimed.

A spokesperson for Paltrow did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Paltrow was a star client of Klein, as confirmed by former staffer Kara Mendelsohn, who shared a story of meeting the “Marty Supreme” star in the late ’90s.

Mendelsohn remembered in an Instagram post that the actress, 53, had been “helicoptered” in for the fashion show and was immediately whisked to her seat, unlike other celebrities who had to wait for an elevator to fill up before they could be taken to the show.

“You weren’t allowed to look at Paltrow or talk, other than, ‘Follow me,’” Menedelsohn recalled, before stressing that Paltrow was not rude or entitled.

“She was quiet, she was a 26-year-old massive celebrity that was trying gracefully to get to her seat,” Mendelsohn added.

Bessette’s time at Calvin Klein and her now-iconic personal style have experienced a resurgence in interest due to the popularity of the Hulu and FX hit series “Love Story,” which explored Bessette’s relationship and marriage to John F. Kennedy Jr.

Bessette worked for Calvin Klein for nearly eight years, from 1988 to the spring of 1996.

She started as a salesperson at a store in Boston, was brought to New York and quickly rose to become a public relations director and show production editor.

Bessette, however, left shortly before her wedding.

Kennedy’s longtime pal, Sasha Chermayeff, exclusively told Page Six that she ” left her job basically because everything had to revolve around John and George magazine,” referring to the political lifestyle magazine Kennedy Jr. co-founded in 1995.

The couple died in a plane accident in July 1999, alongside her sister Lauren.
