Bravo is welcoming back The Real Housewives of New York City, and one familiar face from the franchise’s past has been upped to full-time status.
After previously being announced as a “friend of” the upcoming season 16 cast, Carole Radziwill is making her return as a full-time Housewife. (A “friend of” means a castmember is a supporting part of the cast and aren’t expected to share their personal stories to the extent of a main Housewife.)
Radziwill joined the Real Housewives franchise in season five of RHONY, where she remained through season 10. It had previously been reported that she would be returning the show for season 16, but only in a reduced status. With the trailer also debuting on Tuesday, it appears Radziwill’s past ties to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell will be a hot topic of conversation throughout the season.
Radziwill also makes reference to her ex-husband Anthony Radziwill, John F. Kennedy Jr.’s cousin, when she says, “Everyone’s American Love Story is my American Horror Story.” (Watch the trailer below.)
RHONY will debut its 16th season on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. on Bravo. The new season arrives a little over a year after the second season of the reboot (season 15) concluded on a rocky note in February 2025.
RHONY was rebooted with a brand new cast for the show’s 14th season, following another hectic season 13. After that installment, Bravo initially planned to split RHONY into two shows — one centered around a fresh slate of women and another spotlighting the “legacy” cast. The latter idea was shelved when Peacock instead released The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, a one-season project that highlighted Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley and Kristen Taekman on vacation.
Season 16 serves as somewhat of a reboot of the reboot, with only three of the Housewives from seasons 14 and 15 returning to the cast, including Sai de Silva, Erin Lichy and Jessel Taank. New Housewives Hailey Glassman, Erika Hammond and Daisy Toye round out the new RHONY cast.
The Real Housewives of New York City is produced by Shed Media with Lisa Shannon and Lori Gordon serving as executive producers. Andy Cohen also executive produces. Tia Ayers, Kate Murphy and Alfonso Rosales serve as co-executive producers.
