Cardi B’s estranged husband, Offset, was reportedly hanging out with fans moments before he was shot near a Florida casino.
The former Migos member can be seen smiling with fans and walking through the lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Monday, April 6, in photos obtained by TMZ. The outlet reported that Offset, 34, was “relaxed and friendly” while interacting with fans at around 7 p.m. ET, noting that there were no signs of any trouble.
The photos were reportedly taken shortly before Offset was shot and rushed to a local hospital following an incident near the Hard Rock casino’s valet area.
A spokesperson for the rapper confirmed to Complex that Offset was recovering in the wake of the violent incident.
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” his rep said. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”
Police in Seminole, Florida, have released very little information about what led up to the shooting thus far, other than telling Page Six that two people have been detained in connection with the investigation.
“We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood,” a police spokesperson said on Monday. “Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”
Us Weekly has reached out to reps for Offset and the City of Hollywood Police Department for comment.
The incident occurred just over three years after Offset’s Migos bandmate Takeoff was killed at age 28 in a shooting in Houston, Texas, in November 2022. Contemporary reports indicated that Takeoff was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire when he attended a high-stakes dice game with his Migos bandmate and uncle, Quavo.

More than 20,000 people — including Cardi B, Justin Bieber and Drake — gathered to celebrate Takeoff’s life at a memorial service held at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena in November 2022. Offset later confirmed that Migos would be splitting in the wake of Takeoff’s murder.
In May 2023, Offset admitted to Variety that he was still struggling to process the tragic death of his bandmate.
“Talking about all this s*** is hard. That’s why I don’t, to be honest,” he acknowledged. “That s*** hurts. Like, it’s gonna put me in a mood, and I don’t want to get in that mood. Some things I don’t never tell nobody.”
He went on, “[Takeoff is] not here. That s*** feels fake, bro. I get through my day thinking it’s fake. And I don’t say nothing to nobody about it.”
Offset is a father of six. He shares three children — daughter Kulture, son Wave and daughter Blossom — with estranged wife Cardi and has three more kids — sons Jordan and Kody and daughter Kalea Marie — from previous relationships. (Cardi welcomed a son with Stefon Diggs in November 2025.)
The “Bad and Boujee” musician tied the knot with Cardi in Atlanta in September 2017. Cardi confirmed their split in December 2023 and filed for divorce the following July.
