“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” co-stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz made a head-turning appearance on the 2026 Emmys red carpet.
The duo beamed as they reunited, posing with their arms wrapped around each other for photographers at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday.
At one point, they adoringly looked at each other, as Gellar gently placed her hand on Boreanaz.
Gellar, 49, looked chic for the star-studded outing, wearing a fuchsia pink dress and styling her blond locks in an updo.
As for Boreanaz, 57, he sported a classic black suit.
The duo will also present the award for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series or Movie during the ceremony.
Nominees for the category include Peacock’s “All Her Fault,” Netflix’s “The Beast in Me” and “Beef,” HBO Max’s “DTF St. Louis” and FX/Hulu’s “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette.
Boreanaz and Gellar, meanwhile, starred as on-screen lovers on the Joss Whedon-created series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” which aired for seven seasons between 1997 to 2003.
Gellar played the role of Buffy Summers, a high schooler who is the latest in a long line of “chosen ones” whose job is to fight vampires and other supernatural creatures.

As for Boreanaz, he portrayed Angel, a vampire who falls in love with Summers.
The hit series also starred Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, Anthony Head, Michelle Trachtenberg, Nicholas Brendon, James Marsters and Emma Caulfield Ford.
Trachtenberg, who portrayed Dawn Summers, died at the age of 39 on Feb. 26, 2025, from complications of diabetes.
Brendon, who played Buffy’s pal Xander Harris, died from cardiovascular disease and acute pneumonia on March 20, 2026, at the age of 54.
Head, who played the role of Buffy’s mentor, Rupert Giles, died on June 1, 2026, from complications of pneumonia. He was 72.
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” was planned to be rebooted, but plans for the series were scrapped in March 2026.
