Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz had a reason to celebrate on Thursday after the actress completed work on her latest film – just in time for Christmas.

Nicola, 30, will take a starring role alongside Hollywood legend Mary Stuart Masterson in Pretty Ugly, a forthcoming thriller written and directed by British filmmaker Erica Dunton, best known for her work on Apple TV series Ted Lasso.

And proud husband Brooklyn, 26, confirmed the actress, who plays a ‘provocative makeup influencer’, had already filmed her final scenes – some five months after signing up for the project in July.

Taking to Instagram, he wrote: ‘My girl wrapped her movie today… love you so much.’

Brooklyn accompanied the message with a variety of photos, among them an image of his wife napping on a sofa between scenes.

The post also included photos of the pair celebrating over two enormous pepperoni pizzas and walking their four pet dogs: Lamb, Label, Birdie, and Angel.

Both Brooklyn and Nicola are at the heart of a spiralling family feud that has resulted in their absence from all of his family’s key events over the past year – among them dad Sir David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations and recent investiture.

His estrangement is said to be ‘taking its toll’ on Sir David, 50, and Lady Victoria, 51, in the lead-up to Christmas, with Brooklyn expected to spend the festive period with Nicola and her family in Miami, while his immediate family celebrate together in the United Kingdom.

Sources close to the couple say they are finding their estrangement harder than ever, particularly after he missed out on watching his father receive his knighthood last month and his soccer franchise Inter Miami win the MLS title.

Social media followers recently advised Brooklyn to reach out to his parents after the influencer shared his latest cooking tutorial on Wednesday, with one urging: ‘Go and see your parents, you will regret it later in life.’

A second added: ‘Call your mum .. you only get one and life’s too short !’

While a third wrote: ‘Speak to your parents – only one life and it is very precious’.

Sir David appeared to make his own attempt at reaching out to Brooklyn over social media last week, as he shared a throwback picture with his sons.

Next to a photo of himself with Lady Victoria, sons Romeo and Cruz, and daughter Harper, 14, alongside the MLS trophy this month, he added a throwback shot of him with his three sons after winning the same cup as a player with Los Angeles Galaxy in 2011 and 2012.

‘License to cry,’ he captioned the collage, as he marked the occasion with his family after making history as the first person to win the MLS Cup both as a player and as an owner.

Days earlier, Brooklyn’s grandmother Jackie suggested she was keen for Brooklyn to come home over the festive period by hanging his personalised stocking on her fireplace with the rest of her grandchildren’s.

Victoria shared a video of her mother’s festive display with the identical red stockings for Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper pinned above the hearth, alongside their numerous cousins.

They included her younger sister Louise’s children Liberty, Tallulah, Finlay and Quincy, who she shares with her ex-husband, Darren Flood.

Insiders claimed the move was a deliberate attempt to send a message to Brooklyn, telling The Sun: ‘Usually they wouldn’t post all of the Christmas stockings laid out, but for them, it’s their way of showing how missed Brooklyn is…

‘How he does have a family that loves him, so whatever the narrative is going on with him and Nicola’s family, that is not the Beckhams’ story…

‘The message they’re sending is that the door is always open and he’s always welcome. They’d love nothing more than to see Brooklyn over Christmas, put the past behind them and start 2026 afresh.

‘And Nicola? Well they’ve stopped trying to win her back over. It might never happen, she might never warm up to them again. So for now, they’re concentrating on Brooklyn.’
