Aubrey Plaza is very excited to be a first-time mom and the delivery day isn’t too far around the corner by the looks of her.

The Parks and Recreation alum, 42, was displaying a very large bump as she braved the 100-degree F temperatures in New York City to walk her dog on Thursday.

Plaza was dressed in a cool yellow T-shirt and loosely fitting light gray shorts along with slip-on shoes, a baseball cap and shades to keep the hot sun’s glare out of her eyes.

Trotting at her heels was one of Plaza’s two rescue dogs, Stevie, a mixed breed with dark reddish-brown fur and white paws.

Plaza’s brisk outing comes in the wake of the ‘disappointing’ news that her animated series Kevin has been canceled after only one season.

She co-created the show with ex-boyfriend Joe Wengert and served as executive producer as well.

Kevin, which debuted on Amazon Prime Video in April, was based on a cat rescued by Plaza and Wengert and voiced by Jason Schwartzman.

‘Amazon Prime is not picking up Kevin for another season. Very disappointing since we were just getting going,’ the actress wrote on Instagram in June.

‘I want to say thank you to all the fans that watched our show and all of the incredible cast and crew that worked so hard to make this dream come alive…’

Plaza recalled the early days of Parks and Recreation when ‘we all thought we would be cancelled because our ratings weren’t great.’

‘Our numbers. But we had some special humans over at NBC that believed in the show and let us grow and let audiences fall in love with our characters,’ she said.

‘I was hoping for this for Kevin but sadly we are living in a different time in our industry. I hope the machines won’t ruin everything.

‘Maybe Kevin will find a new owner someday. Love you all very much. Meow,’ Plaza added.

She’s still busy with other projects. Not only did she star in Zach Woods’ directorial debut The Accompanist, which premiered at The Tribeca Festival on June 4, but she’s producing and starring in the upcoming dark comedy biopic The Heidi Fleiss Story.

Her main focus, however, is awaiting the birth of her first child with her current beau, Girls actor Christopher Abbott, 40.

The couple, who started dating in late 2025, have not announced any plans to wed.

During an appearance on the SmartLess podcast in April, Plaza opened up about impending motherhood. ‘There’s a baby inside of me right now. Yes, it’s true… I know it’s shocking isn’t it,’ she said.

When asked if she’s excited about becoming a mother, Plaza replied: ‘I am [excited]. I’ve always wanted to see what that’s all about you know.’

Plaza also revealed she’s now living in New York and plans to raise her baby on the East Coast, saying: ‘I’m back in New York … Yeah … [it’s not] totally thought through but East Coast for sure. My family is in Philadelphia and Delaware mainly… One of the reasons I came back here was for that so I could get on a train and go home.’
