Apple Chan is now a mother of two.
The 37-year-old local actress revealed today (Sept 22) that the baby came “earlier than planned”.
“At 31 weeks, baby girl was only around 1.1kg and wasn’t growing as well as we hoped, so I was admitted for close monitoring. Then that same night, my water bag broke,” she revealed on Instagram.
“Our goal was to keep her baking inside me for as long as possible. But everything happened so fast and unexpectedly within days, I had to undergo an emergency C-section. And so, our baby girl is here at 32 weeks.”
Sharing what appears to be an AI-generated photo of herself and a baby, Apple said she’s still trying to process everything that happened.
She wrote to the newborn: “I wish I could have kept you safe inside me a little longer and take all the fighting you have to do now and do it for you instead.
“But since I can’t, mummy will be right here beside you through every tiny step forward, every little milestone and every day you grow stronger. You keep fighting and I will keep believing in you. Very soon I’ll finally get to hold you close and bring you home.
“Your elder brother can’t wait to give you a big bear hug too!”
Hong Kong-born Apple is best known for her roles in Jack Neo’s movies Ah Boys Go Army 4 (2017) and Ah Girls Go Army (2022).
She married her husband, entrepreneur Jensen Goh, in 2024 and together, they have a son nicknamed Lil A who was born in August the same year.
She had announced on Mother’s Day this year that she was expecting her second child.
