Anne Hathaway has learned a thing or two about fashion from on-screen boss Miranda Priestley.

But, as a true pro, she’s making it her own.

On Monday night, the actress attended a Bulgari event in a voluminous red silk moiré Valentino Haute Couture gown that recalled one Meryl Streep wears as the Runway editor-in chief in the forthcoming “The Devil Wears Prada” sequel.

Hathaway’s look featured a plunging neckline (perfect for her giant jewels) as well as a cape-style back that elegantly flowed down her shoulders and back.

Adding to the drama, however, Hathaway paired the look with a massive bejeweled necklace for the event, wearing Bulgari’s eye-catching Secret Garden Necklace.

Crafted of diamonds, emeralds, onyx, purple sapphires and pink sapphires, the colorful design took 1,200 hours to hand-assemble.

The main stone is a pink-orange Padparadscha sapphire from Sri Lanka that weighs in at an impressive 26.65 carats.

Hathaway chose simple, albeit oversized, round-cut diamond studs on each ear. On one hand was a diamond ring and on the other was a yellow gold ring with a center cabochon emerald and pink stones that looked to be either rubies or pink sapphires to match her necklace exactly.

Paparazzi-captured photos from the “Devil Wears Prada 2” filming show Streep in a red taffeta ballgown to film the on-screen interpretation of the annual Met Gala.

Priestly’s sculptural ballgown includes a belted waist and oversized, off-the-shoulder neckline. She paired hers with $110,000 Jacob & Co. ruby and diamond earrings and rings from Faraone Mennella and Briony Raymond.

Streep was less than thrilled to get back into her clackers, however. In a recent interview, she bemoaned Priestly’s wardrobe, saying, “I almost had PTSD from wearing high heels for 16 weeks. I feel like I should get a Medal of Freedom!”
