Kim Soo Hyun’s controversy seems to have no ending soon. On May 7, Kim Sae Ron’s family organised a press conference featuring a legal representative and GaroSero’s CEO, Kim Se Eui, with audio evidence which is said to be recorded by the late actress.

In the viral recording, Kim Sae Ron opened up about her personal life to a man from New Jersey referred to as a whistleblower. Sae Ron revealed that she and Kim Soo Hyun were physically involved when she was just 14 and in 8th grade.

Kim Soo Hyun has been accused of dating Kim Sae Ron when she was underage. As per the claims, he shared a romantic relationship with Sae Ron when she was just 15. The controversy has badly impacted Soo Hyun’s personal and professional life.

Earlier, on April 22, Kim Soo Hyun’s fan union jointly announced legal actions against individuals spreading malicious comments to ruin the public image of the actor. The club includes some of the biggest domestic fan groups of the actor, Daum Cafe Eucaris and DC Inside’s Kim Soo Hyun Gallery.

The fan union on April 28 released an official statement on X (formerly Twitter) which reads, “KSH’s enemies are in despair, because our flame is burning constantly, every day. We hashtag, we comment, we vote, we investigate, we love, and express our love in creative ways each day. We are from all over the globe, united in support of Kim Soo Hyun, from all races, religions, and ethnicities, from all age groups. They simply did not expect even 1/100 of this.”

On May 9, Kim Soo Hyun’s fan union gave the latest update on the case and released an official statement. As per the notice on April 30, the union reported more than 100 online defamers of the actor to Seongbuk Police Station. The defamers are charged with violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation).

In a statement, the fan union declared its unshakeable loyalty to the actor, promising to stand by him in his time of need. The statement reads, Kim Soo Hyun has been doing his best for many years, and we believe it is our responsibility to protect and honor the rights of such an actor.”
