Bollywood popular star Govinda has been in the news due to divorce rumours with his wife Sunita Ahuja. The two have been married for 37 years now and are parents to two kids – Tina and Yashvardhan. The rumours of their divorce started on social media but Govinda’s lawyer stated that Sunita had filed for a divorce six months ago and now the two are together.
Well, Govinda was new in the industry when rumours of his relationship with his co-stars became the talk of the town in film magazines. The handsome actor got candid about his feelings towards his co-stars during a 1990 interview. He revealed that his horoscope had suggested that he might get married again. He also continued saying that he wanted Sunita to be prepared for it.
In an interview with Stardust, Govinda spoke about his admiration for Neelam and how he fell in love with her. He said that he kept his promise of marrying Sunita only because he had given his word to her and not because he loves her. He also continued saying, “Tomorrow, who knows, I may get involved again, and maybe I will marry the girl I get involved with. But Sunita should be prepared for it. Only then will I feel free. And there is a second marriage in my kundali”.
He then spoke about Divya Bharti as he called her sensuous. Divya was 17 years old at the time and was on her journey to become a superstar in Hindi movies. Govinda said, “Well I am a firm believer of destiny. What has to happen, will happen. Yes, I like Juhi a lot. Even Divya Bharti. Divya is a very sensuous girl. It’s difficult for a man to resist her. I know Sunita is going to be very upset with all this. But she should know that I am still resisting Divya’s charms. I haven’t given into the temptation as yet”.
Sunita Ahuja’s manager has finally reacted to the divorce rumours and said that the news is not true. Earlier, the actor’s manager, Shashi Sinha, told HT City, “Sunita ji ne jo recent interviews mein baatein boli hain, yeh unn sab ka nateeja hai. Unhone zyaada bol diya hai (The rumours began as a result of everything Sunita Ji has been saying in recent interviews). She might have said a bit too much. And you know Govinda, sir… there is friction).”
Govinda reacted the same and said, “These are only business talks going…I am in the process of starting my films”.
