Urvashi Rautela continues to make headlines for her candid and often strange remarks in the world of showbiz. From being slammed for flaunting about her expensive watch while expressing concern for actor Saif Ali Khan post his shocking stabbing incident to facing criticism for her moves in Dabidi Dabidi song, she has often been the centre of attraction. In a recent chat, Urvashi expressed her desire to have a temple built in her name.
During a recent chat with Galatta India, Urvashi said, “I have a mandir in my name and people pray in my temple. Now, I want my temples in the South too.” Her candid statement has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, and left her fans both shocked and curious.
Urvashi, who had recently shared and deleted a post wherein she compared her Jaat song with Tamannaah Bhatia’s Nasha, further added context to her shocking comment. “I have worked with Chiranjeevi Garu, and I’m working with Balakrishna. So I’ve worked with the topmost level people… and those are the people who have a massive fan following. Then maybe… uh, my temple coming soon,” she added. With this she suggested that her admirers in the South may follow her lead and build a temple in her honor.
Known for her bold comments, Urvashi had recently also claimed that she is often referred to as the “best promoter” after superstar Shah Rukh Khan. During a recent interview, the actor was asked about people calling her self-obsessed. Urvashi reacted by saying, “I am completely absorbed in my work. If people are saying this, then they also say that after Shah Rukh Khan, Urvashi Rautela is the best promoter when it comes to promoting films. That’s why even the Hollywood makers of Reacher Season 3 approached me to promote their show.”
Urvashi was recently seen in a dance number titled Sorry Bol in Sunny Deol-led Jaat, which also starred Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda. The track has been getting mixed reviews. While many lauded her dance moves, others drew a comparison between the song and classic Tip Tip Barsa Paani. The film also featured Regina Cassandra, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Saiyami Kher in key roles.
